About the hosts

We are a retired couple who live quietly in the countryside, caring for our cat and garden, while also enjoying the local foods, markets and vineyards

The home

The house is old but fully restored with modern amenities with wi-fi 100Mbs unlimited downloads. No TV but lots of dvd's are available. A double room with shower ensuite for our guest a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, airfryer, pressure cooker, large fridge, etc and an outside BBQ.

Why you'll love it here

A good café / restaurant /garage is just a short drive (or 15 min walk) away although there are many eateries, shops, and places of interest from small quaint medieval towns to day trips to Florence, Siena &, Orvieto by car or train easily achievable.

What you'll do

Apart from feeding and caring for our cat, watering the flower pots and possibly putting the rubbish out for bin collection, only checking for post is appreciated.

Calico

Cat · rescue · 5 years

Our cat is a creature of regular habits but extremely shy and nervous of people, so a quiet gentle person is needed to care for her. In good weather Calico likes to be outside even at night but needs access inside if it rains or she gets startled.

She is easy to care for as she prefers eating dry foods and needs fresh water, although she has been know to bring in mice, alive and dead in, which will need attending to and each evening a cat soup or pate is given, in hopes of enticing her in :)
