Sunny quiet home near huge park with waterfalls

I live with my partner and our two kids, ages 2 and 4, and of course Nike. We moved to Bellingham a couple years ago and I love it here. I get to take Nike on a walk every day in the most beautiful park full of ferns and moss and cedars, with a beautiful waterfall and a creek running through it. I like peace and quiet, and our neighborhood is perfect for that. Our house in particular is nestled into a little hill surrounded by green that makes it feel peaceful and private.

Our home is a bright, sunny house on Alabama Hill just a short walk to Whatcom Falls Park. We have a main bedroom (queen bed) and two small kids bedrooms, each with a twin. We try keep our things minimal, so it's a restful, cozy space with lots of light. We cook a lot, so the kitchen is well equipped. There's a garden, deck, and large yard to enjoy lots of time outside. From the living room, you get a gorgeous view of the sunsets and you can see all the way to the sea.

We have the small bedrooms set up as kids rooms, but we could set up a workspace in one if you prefer. We also have a rowing machine for exercise. Most of the appliances are newer, but the washing machine is older and can be a little finicky. There is a bus route within walking distance, but Bellingham is easiest by car.

Bellingham is an incredible place to spend some time. It's all about the outdoors — mountain biking, hiking, running, paddling — anything you're into! But it also has tons of restaurants, bars, breweries, and music venues with events happening all the time. It's a great community. And we're a 7 minute walk from Whatcom Falls Park, a huge park full of ferns, moss, and huge evergreen trees. There are waterfalls, a creek, playgrounds, tennis courts, a pump track, duck pond, bike paths, and trails.

The primary responsibility is dog sitting Nike. There are also a few houseplants to water once or twice a week, and trash goes out on Wednesdays. We would appreciate a sitter who will be thoughtful with our home and will leave the house clean, with the sheets laundered, since we'll have had a long travel day when we get back. That's really all!
