I’m Işık, an academic from Türkiye. I love discovering new cities, meeting people from different cultures, and experiencing places through local life rather than only as a tourist. Reading, writing, psychology, culture and meaningful conversations are a big part of my life.

I’m independent, respectful, tidy and easy-going. When someone welcomes me into their home, I’m very conscious that I’m entering their personal space, so respect and consideration are important to me.

I joined Trustroots because I like the idea of travelling through genuine human connections and mutual hospitality. I’d love to meet interesting people, exchange stories and perspectives, and hopefully make some good friends along the way.
