Hi,
We are Ben and Annika, living in Portugal for quite a while. Till end of 2026 we also have "Peluche" with us. She is an retired shepherd dog, sterilised around14 years old and super easy going with everyone and every animal & she rarely barks. We are very experienced housesitters all over europe. Specialized on OffGrid, many animals, simple solutions. Ben is a carpenter, I got also pretty good in carpenting through the restoration of an huge old circus waggon from germany which we just finished. We are both garden lovers and are most happy when we can harvest from the garden, swap food, connect with the neighbours through sharing harvest, helping, etc.. My profession is filmmaking, but I stopped when corona hit and learned how to train dogs, how to teach yoga and grow own food, following a ZenBuddishm approach in life.
Experience with pets & homes
Ben`s Masterpiece so far was fostering 12 CanadianRunDucklings from egg to end of week 3 in front of the Pyrenees with lots of Eagles & Co. without loosing any of them! (Full Time Job for him:))
In this house we also had 20chicken, 7Ducks, 3 cats, 2 dogs (little labrador Kumbu was only 4 month old) and a huge veggie garden.
Another time I sitted up to 12 dogs together and lived with them in the house - I really enjoy living in a pack I realized.
We also had Alpaccas, sheep, goats, horses (I worked with horses a lot), cows & coi carps***
