We are Simona and Rafael, a responsible mother-and-son team from Romania preparing to relocate to Cascais, Portugal, this summer. I am a multidisciplinary artist and designer working in interior decoration, jewelry, wearable art, and retail design. I also worked as a professional makeup artist for the L’Oréal Paris Romania team, which strengthened my attention to detail, hygiene, and aesthetics. Rafael will turn 9 this year and will continue school in Cascais starting in September. He is mature for his age, respectful, empathetic, and comfortable in English. As a calm and caring family, we love animals, nature, and beautiful homes. House sitting is a natural fit for us during this transition; we are excited to become part of the Cascais community and would be honored and delighted to care for your home, pets, and plants with love and attention. We are planning to arrive in Cascais around July 20 and are available for house and pet sitting throughout the summer while completing our relocation. Experience with pets & homes
I have experience caring for both cats and dogs and have shared my life with animals over the years, including a dog who was part of my family for 17 years. This gave me deep, long-term experience in understanding canine needs, routines, and emotional bonds. Rafael has a natural affection for animals and especially loves cats; he is a kind and respectful child who enjoys spending time with pets. I also have a background in competitive sports, which taught me discipline, focus, and responsibility. I have lived in rented homes for nearly 20 years and have always treated every space as if it were my own, maintaining clean, organized, and welcoming environments. Together, we are calm, reliable, and attentive. We understand the trust involved in leaving your home and beloved animals with someone, and we will care for them with love and attention. We will maintain their routines, keep your plants healthy, and ensure your home remains safe and well-cared for.
